Facts and FAQ's
1. Why can't I
obtain the title I require? I know it was released on
DVD.
DVDs have a short shelf life.
Once High Street sales diminish, titles are withdrawn from sale without notice.
When possible we endeavour to
provide a 'cushion' by obtaining stocks of popular titles when we
know a problem is looming.
As we often say 'delay in ordering =
disappointment'.
2. Why can't I
obtain the title I require? It's on the syllabus.
Many films and broadcasts are
unfortunately never released on DVD. This can be because of costs
or royalty problems.
3. What is the
position on copyright ?
DVDs may be used in the
classroom, in connection with a course of study [1], or by individuals
for home use. They may not be duplicated, altered, or shown for social
purposes in schools/colleges. No charges may be made for admission
to a viewing.
In twenty years we have never
encountered a single problem in respect of any title supplied.

NOTE: Beware of fakes
We
do caution you against buying fakes and poor pirated copies at
markets or car boot sales. We also caution against 'hard to find', supposedly
new DVDs which you may find on auction sites, and from private sellers. Our
experience is that 95% of these are illegal, fake copies.
For safety, purchase your DVDs from a reputable supplier, such as Trumedia.
4. Should we invest in DVD?
We recommend that customers now invest in DVD
players. The VHS video format should
now be
considered obsolete.
